One Life Ministries
Update, October 8, 2018
It is quickly heading towards one year since Janet had her aneurism. According to all statistics and the words of her doctors she should not be alive.
It was a night I never want to live again, yet through it all we both have discovered deeper understandings of God’s faithfulness, love, grace and mercy. We have seen and experienced the truth of the power of prayer. We have been touched it our hearts and minds of the unfailing love our Heavenly Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ and the comfort of the ever present Holy Spirit.
Thank you all, and each one for your steadfast prayers and intercession, for your undaunted pursuit of God’s healing power for Janet. We are indebted to your faithful support. Thank you again.
Headed to the Philippines.
Soon I head once again to the Philippines. The ministry continues to grow as our workers faithfully pursue God’s will and His power to accomplish all He desires. I am counting on your prayers during this very important time with our Church Planting leaders and our feeding program personnel.Let me give you a quick snap shot of what has been happening.
The Holy Spirit has been moving so powerfully that it is difficult to share all that is going on. The increase of 30 more churches has occurred since our last news letter. We now have 179 church plants that are alive and dispensing the Gospel in some of the most remote places on Mindanao Island. We receive regular reports of the increase of the healings and salvations and baptisms. Reports are coming in of how the Muslim communities are opening to the message of the Father heart of God. Many Muslim farmers are tired of the years of fighting and promoting fear that only causes pain to their own families. Pray with us for these Muslim families that the eyes of their understanding would be opened, and that they come into the glorious hope that we as born again believers possess.
I will be visiting some of these areas on this trip to encourage our workers and partners in faith to not give up and to continue in their calling. We will also spend time equipping them in leadership training and giving them resources to help them develop their churches.
Feeding program,”Food for Life “
“When you have done it to the least of these, you have done it unto me.” It is these words spoken by the Lord Jesus that has been our theme for 15 years of feeding malnourished children. Beginning with 50 children and now growing to a number of 5000 (approximate) meals per month is outstanding. Thank you for your support of these children. We truly believe you will receive a reward by God for your giving.
I have a desire, like you, to reach the innocent. The programs we run are great yet we need to do more. Some of our areas only receive one meal per week from us. They need more! We are asking GOD FOR MORE SUPPLY SO WE CAN HELP REMOVE THE TERRIBLE EFFECTS OF MALNUTRITION.
Our children are blessed because of you our supporters. When you give to, Food for Life, all we receive goes directly to the children. We have no paid employees or expense items that we need to take a portion of your generous giving. 100% goes to children. If you give online their is a 3% charge from the credit card company that processes the transaction. This cost we can not eliminate. If you send or mail a check it will all go into the account for distribution. Our mailing address we use is our church address. Please attach a note directing your gift. ie..... One Life radio FM is broadcasting 24/7 Christian music and teaching. Our 3000 watt transmitter has been installed and is working hard. The radio station is one of strongest means to reach the lost. In the city taxi cab drivers are tuned to our broadcasts. Thousands of young college students are tuning in and are encouraged in their life by the positive message of hope that is broadcasted every day. Thank you for your support of this vital ministry.
We are excited about our newest venture of beginning a totally tribal radio station. We are already gathering tribal pastors we are in fellowship with and inviting them to teach on the air. We will also play tribal worship music in several dialects for their spiritual growth and enjoyment. This is a first on the island as thousands of tribals people will have the opportunity to here the gospel in their own language and teaching to help them grow in the knowledge of God. Many who will have access to this have no church in their village and the radio is their connection to Christian community around them. Our radio station is in need of updating our antenna. If you would like to help with this just earmark that with a note or message as you give. Thank you for your help.
India church plant and home for abandoned youth.
Our church plant in India has grown as Pastor Vimal and Hannah his wife faithfully serve their community. It has been a very hard year for them thus far. They were asked to leave their home they rented from their Hindu landlord and had no place to live with their 2 boys. They moved into the abandoned children home they had started.
There are fifteen girls living their who are being cared for by Vimal’s mother who was also sickly Vimal and the family lived or slept in the hallway of the home as that was the space which was open. Persecution and sickness has attacked them for these many months. Hannah almost died from complications and Vimal has suffered very high blood pressure from the stress. After much prayer the Lord showed me a home in my prayers. It was a large home big enough for their family and the children. I encouraged them to look for this place and God showed them. They now all live together in one home which financially has helped as it is only one rent. Praise God for his provision. I am believing for a permanent home and land owned by the ministry. Renting leaves you at the mercy of your Landlords which are all Hindu in their village. All land is owned by the Hindus and the Christians are held down from ownership. We need a miracle from our Lord. Please pray with us for this miracle. If you desire to help this couple and their abandoned children’s home please ear mark your giving with the word, India. Thank you.
As we approach the end of the year you have the opportunity to lower your taxes through a charitable gift? Or perhaps you know someone who needs to do so. John 4:35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
The gospel is going out to those Who would never hear it’s had not been for people like Pastor Grace. Pastora Grace has a heart for the lost and a love for her people, especially the youth. You see her here traveling over the mountains taking the message of the good news wherever she goes. The pictures will show the youth following her in a long stream, as she goes, they stay with her, she cares for them and they with her preach the gospel to those who never heard it. This is love in action, Not only will she teach the children, she also will feed them physical food, as many would go hungry, even to the point of becoming sick if it was not for the ministry of sister Grace. This month we are spotlighting sister Grace on our blog. How can you honor her by going to the donate button and sharing a little of your resources to food for life or to church planting, this is a way we can put your love in action and honor this sister who lays down her life every day for the Lord and for her people
Update Philippines Ministry.
I left word at the hotel desk for a wake up call as we needed to be on the road by 4:45 AM.. I thought I might sleep through my alarm so I had the wake up call for a back up…… I needed neither as I could not sleep soundly as I was aware of the Holy Spirit speaking to me concerning the people I would be meeting about11:30 that morning. The ride was exciting, long and grueling. The last 15 miles there was no road, one was just being built but not finished. We had to travel over the stones and ruts and mud next to the area that was being built. The climb up was very steep and the mammoth cargo truck we transferred into slowly made it to where we needed to go. …….Our driver was excellent and knew how to navigate all the really bad spots.
There was perhaps 150 people waiting for us, The church building was one of the nicest buildings in the area. It was finished concrete floor and windows and a sound system that worked. The inside was decorated nicely. … The place was packed with people and many outside around the building waiting to see and hear the foreigner. … You see I discovered I was the first foreigner to visit that area in 30 years. ….. I was greeted by the captain of the Buranguy of the area and was made welcome. He was the authority of the area and when I greeted him with hand shake and hug I could feel and see the 45 cal pistol under His shirt. His authority came to church with him, ha ha, I spoke on creation and the origin of all things. I explained how all was affected by the entrance of sin, which brought the power of death into the world. How Jesus Christ came to bring them Life, Eternal life, life more abundantly. We talked about How Jesus was God. The son of God given in Love for the forgiveness and restoration of man, and their need of Him,(John 3:16-17 ) We spoke of faith, and its operation in them. We spoke of the fullness of belief in Jesus and those who believed fully into Him had the right to become the sons of God; (John 1:12). We then asked who believed in this Jesus Christ and who would recognize their need of His forgiveness and repent of their sins and invite Him into their life and receive a new life. About 75 or so persons answered in faith as they pressed forward to confess and receive. I stepped aside and asked my interpreter to lead them in prayer. Sally Tolson whom I have known for 16 years lead them in Prayer as Sally is a woman of faith who I am indebted to as she is the true communicator to them as she interprets so they can fully understand.
I want to thank all of you who have been praying for me during this trip. This is just a sample of the past 12 days here which has been jammed packed with ministry of all kinds. I could not do this with out your prayers and financial aide. Thank you.
I was informed yesterday that our, Food for Life, feeding program and our Church Planting accounts are critically low. Our expansion has outgrown our income flow. Yes it is a beautiful problem we are facing. Our 30 Church plantings this year, and the increase of 6 new feeding programs with more hungry children is a beautiful stretching of faith. If you are not currently partnering with us in feeding hungry children, or planting churches in Muslim infiltrated areas, we ask you to please consider an offering to help us finish 2016 in the black and also the start of 2017 with a reserve of 3 months in our accounts. We will need to have end of the year giving to amount of $30,000 dollars to accomplish this. This does not include any special projects we will be asked to consider along the way.
Our special projects list is as following”
1. A rented facility for our offices in General Santos, large enough to house
a. Inner city church planting.
b. Enough space to house conferences of 3 to 500 persons.
c. Multipurpose in design so it can be rented for weddings and other functions when not being used by our own needs.
d. Supplied office space for other ministries such human trafficking.
We are currently looking at a space of 3300 sq ft which includes several large offices and then an open space for conference and training center. We need to train up Pastors, teachers, evangelist, and prophets. Men and women called out to serve the lord in these offices. (I will partner with others in this training of leaders.)
2. Motor Bikes for our Church planters.
a. Many of our Church planters are walking many, many miles over rough terrain, to visit the works they are overseeing and have begun. One Pastor travels all week among his 10 church’s that He oversees and trains for us. We have a goal of 5 motor bikes next year. Each will cost 1500.00. These are off road bikes able to handle the punishment of the mountain terrain.
Our greatest desire is the increase of feeding days for our feeding areas. Some areas we are only feeding once a week. To effectively make a difference in the health of a child we need to feed them one meal per day everyday. We need more as personnel to help us raise money for these children. We need volunteers who will reach out into churches, Sunday school programs, missions programs, and grants and charitable foundations. Please pray with us that the Lord will provide these volunteers to us.
If you have read all this you are truly gracious, thank you.

News: Church planting.
I wanted to take the time to share some important information to you who have graciously agreed to support or stand with me in the church planting in Mindanao.
It is hard to share with you all that is happening in our Church planting as there has been so much. In our last news letter we reported that we had planted 7 new churches on Mindanao Island. We now have almost 25 as our teams went out to neighboring communities and began more churches. I am very pleased at their faith and love for the souls of men.
I will be traveling back to the Philippines on October,12 to meet with Church our leaders and Pastors and to visit their new works. We hope to encourage them renewing their vision in our church planting commitment launched on October 2015.
…. The first churches we have planted have come from General Santo City, from the school we developed, “The intensive Church planters Institute.” We had fifty participants who where taught the concept of team church planting. From that group of 50 which came together in October of 2015 we now have our new church plants. Each church has been supplied with sound equipment and monies needed for the launch of their ministry. Each church planting team has a clear vision how to serve their community. Every team is supplies with a small stipend to free then to accomplish the mission that the Lord has given them when they were commissioned. I want to say, thank you, to you who have committed to support these church planters and their callings. Thank you, seems so small, but your reward is in heaven waiting for you. I want you to know that salvations and baptisms are taken place regularly. Whole families are being touched and encouraged; single mothers, hungry children, and those who are weary from the life of severe poverty, all are being touched by the grace and compassion of our Lord through these church plantings.
We are near our goal to have 30 church plantings by the end of 2016 In order to accomplish this I have needed to return several times this year. I have scheduled my next visit for October this year.
Food for Life News
I will be returning to Kenya in December as I was invited once again to speak at leaders a conference among the Massai tribe. Please pray for me as I travel as I will only have short rest from being home from Philippines. Pray that I will go with a sure word from God to these my brothers in the Lord, a word of life and encouragement; a word in season that is meat for their souls and health to their bones. Pray for many to be healed and delivered from the oppression of lies and doubt, and from physical sickness. Pray that the overwhelming presence of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit will fill each of us as we gather in His name. Please pray for all of our personal needs to go, such as, health and finances. Thank you in advance for your prayers and help, Amen
I have travel for several years into India to support the workers their through teaching and prayers and fellowship. These visits have established a few wonderful relationships that I am blessed to have. One of these relationships is a young couple, who have been through, YWAM, (youth with a mission) DTS,( discipleship training school,) who are reaching out to abandoned children and giving them a home, food , education, and most of all a dream filled with hope. This beautiful couple shines as an example of what Jesus Christ is like. I was privileged to have stayed in their home for 2 weeks and experience this grace upon their lives. They now have embarked on a church panting. The church is up and
running and growing rapidly. I have pledged to help them with their needs, through our ministry and I am looking for those who would help me do so.
I have been dreaming, literally, for several months of being in India, teaching and beginning church plantings with the purpose of reaching the community with the word of God and mercy missions, bringing wholeness or wellness to all who are in need. I believe I am not the only one who is being asked by the Lord to help this nation of 1.4 billion people. I believe there are many God is speaking to in dreams and visions and burdens of prayer for this people who are under the curse of poverty, and false religions. If you are one of these who have a heart for India, please consider helping us plant these churches, and supporting these missions of love.
Please feel free to contact me at Onelifemin@aol.com and lets begin a dialogue of how we can partner to see these who need help, receive their help. I can also be reached by phone at 609-553-9916. Together we can make a difference in the lives of a few..
our online page is, www.Onelifemin.com, from there you can see the fuller scope of our ministry here at, One Life Ministries/ Food for Life. Our mission is the sowing of the word of God into the hearts of men and women everywhere. Teaching and encouraging the body of Christ, leadership training and Church planting. We are feeding the hungry, reaching out to the poor through mercy missions of many types, Salvation and love being always our foundation of motivation for all we do.

Drought is causing major shortage of food in Philippines
The temperatures are soaring in the high 90's everyday, and the winds are also blowing steadily, and the ground is parched and the crops are all dead. I know it is hard for us to understand in the land of plenty that we live in. But these people live from one harvest to the next on the little patch of ground they may farm, and when there is no harvest there is no food.
Ten months of drought has now produced despair and sickness and many of the elderly and children are suffering. No water also causes the shallow wells to dry up. so even drinking water is now dangerously low . Some of the hardest hit areas are where the Lord has instructed us to plant churches. These are areas where God has said we needed to go and support and share the good news of Gospel with them and help to work with in the communities to bring hope and love and peace. Each of our churches have feeding programs for the children, but we are now needing to help feed the community or we will see the increase of death among the children's parents and siblings.
In order to meet this demand of love upon us we are beginning a Drought fund to raise $10,000 dollars for the purchase of rice and dried peas for the communities. This will allow us to purchase around 12500 kilos of rice to distribute in 5 communities in desperate need.
We would also like to raise an additional $ 15000.00 dollars for the drilling of deep wells for each community.
Please pray about giving to these in such desperate need. If you feel you would like to help please use our donate button on our page and send to One Life Ministries and ear mark for," Drought rescue." These people need a miracle; are you possibly the miracle they need. Thank You for your help and remember no gift is to small when given in love. Your $5.00 or even 1.00 or $1000.00 dollar gifts are all equally rewarded and received with thanksgiving. ......

I will be traveling back to the Philippines on March 3 to meet with Church leaders and Pastors about the vision I believe was given to me by the Lord. I will explain to them that the Lord had given me three cities that would be the headquarters for our church plants. These cities would be the connection of support and supply and encouragement for the new churches that were being established as a first line of defense against the presence of Islam that is growing on the Island.
…. The first churches we have planted have come from General Santo City, from the school we developed, “The Intensive Church Planters Institute.” We had fifty participants who where taught the concept of team church planting. It is our goal to have 30 to 50 church plantings by the end of 2016 In order to accomplish this I will need to return several times this year to hold our, Intensive Church Planters Institute in several cities. Our need for support of these extra schools and the release of new church plantings will necessitate the need of new support, or committed giving if we are to succeed.
Let me say this to our supporters, we (Janet and I) live on partial Social Security and gifts from some of our church relationships we have built over the years. Our income actually qualifies us to apply for financial help from the government as we meet the criteria for low income help. (we choose not to) Janet and I own no home and we pour our energies and our resources into the ministry God has given us. I tell you this so YOU WILL KNOW, your money, when given goes to where you purposed. No fees are taken out or administration costs but all goes to the designated purpose you gave.
Janet and I love our Life style we have chosen to live. Our life is exciting and faith filled, as we experience the release of God to our lives. We are blessed to have all we need and knowing it is given to us in love. God is good, always, this is not a cliché but a reality. Our prayer for you is that you also are experiencing His goodness, and are living for the purposes of His Kingdom.
Food for Life News.
When I look at all the different feeding sites and volunteers operating and helping us my heart is overwhelmed with the goodness of God, and of those who are made in His image. When I see the smile on a child’s face, as they eat their meal provided for them by the love of the workers and supporters of this ministry, my heart convicts me. I am convicted of the times I have complained about the long Airplane rides consisting of many hours, and the living with roaches and rats and other discomforts I experience each time I go. This conviction of my attitude brings me to the place of repentance for my selfishness and shallowness and leads me to the place of thanksgiving, that I am allowed to do this for our Lord. It is here in these moments, and being with the poorest of the earth, I feel the Holy, loving, caring, presence of the Lord Jesus. Thank You, to all of you who enable all of us through your caring and loving giving. ….. The children now number over 1500. The number varies from week to week as more come as the news gets out into the community that we are there. We are now looking at the possibility of beginning outreaches in Kenya, Africa, and also in Tanuku, India. Please pray with us as these new outreaches are an increase beyond our current budget. We need yet another miracle. But His grace is sufficient for what we need.
Our Travel –Kenya, Africa
I have been visiting the tribal people know as the Maasai . I have been blessed by their zeal and passion for the Lord. I believe the Lord is opening doors for us to embrace this people and help them in their walk with God. I have been teaching in several conferences among them and have been taken in as one of their own. They even gave me a Maasai name, Malyon, which means blessed of the Lord, or blessing of Lord. This was a humbling endorsement of our ministry.
One of the areas I feel impressed to help, is the area of child abuse. There are young teen girls who have been sold for marriage, and abused have run from their abusers. They are then outcast as they have no place to go. Praise God for His servants! He has raised up an African couple by the name of Nelly and Samson. This couple is in their 70’s and have open their home to these girls. They brought them in and have taken care of them as their own children. The number currently they have received is 20. They have brought them in as their own children and cared for them. They have even built an addition onto their home to house these girls.
I met these young women one afternoon at the Home of Samson and Nelly; they were shy and you could see they were not sure if they wanted to expose themselves to a stranger who could not possibly understand their feelings of hurt and anger and shame. It was communicated without a word as it was in their faces and in their eyes; They tried to hide it, but it was clearly present. I watched as Samson came into the room and stood in the midst of their anxiety, you could see the power of fear braking off them as this man was their protector and one who showed them real love, God’s love. He was Father to them, and Nelly, Mother.
It is my desire to help these young women and Samson and Nelly. These girls deserve to have their dreams of education and making a way in this world become a reality for them. I have asked what it would take to sponsor one these young women, to include housing, food, clothing and education. I was told that it would be about $75.00 per month, the largest being the education. The schooling would be in a better or higher rated school similar to a private school. This ensures them an education which will prepare them for college and a future. Please consider supporting one of these girls, or perhaps your church could support one of these girls. Or your family may desire to adopt a child such as this who need our help. Pray and ask the Lord what is His will. This is all I can ask of anyone, PRAY and OBEY. There are thousands of stories like this, but we need to be connected to that which the Lord asks us to do.
One Life Ministries has planted a seed in the Maasai lands by helping a New church to be built in the outland or bush. This church has out grown the home or hut it has been meeting in as many warriors have come to Christ; Maasai men surrendering their lives to Christ. Thank you Lord for releasing the power of the Holy spirit upon this village.
India is on our heart
I will be traveling back to India in July. My time there will be spent revisiting the churches we have been to formerly. Our desire is to encourage them and see what the Lord has done through them. The needs in this country are huge, and could quickly overcome you if you are need oriented and not lead by the Holy Spirit. We are processing what we are going to be involved in, and our future involvement and investment. We need much discernment as we are so heavily invested in other areas.
If you are one who feels a call for the evangelization of India we would like to hear from you. Or if you know of others who we might partner with, please suggest them to us. One life Ministries is small, we are not a denomination or even an Organization, but a team of about 6 persons and a few supporting churches doing all that we do. We do all by prayer and revelation by the Holy Spirit. We listen to hear him tell us, “this is what we need to do.” He is our light in time of uncertainty. Our commitment is to patience and unity; another key is respect and honor for each other. We are able to cross denominational barriers and accomplish the will of God together. Please pray for us that we will remain faithful to these ideals and walk by faith. Thank You.
We need your Help!

There are some who feel they have out lived there usefulness with God. They seem to think that the Lord sets us aside because we have reached a certain age. That is plain foolishness. Moses was 80 before he began. The apostle John was still serving the Lord at His death at the age of 94. No your age is not preventing you, but your attitude and passion or lack of may be.
In my own life I began my journey at the age of 21. I am now at the age of 65 closing in on 66 quickly. I do not feel to old but the opposite I believe that all I have done has only equipped me for what is next.. I want to encourage you to hear the Apostle paul as He speaks to His followers and friends, " Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me." Brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: forgetting those things in the past I press forward,; onward to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God through Christ Jesus is calling us" Phil.3;12-13.
To old, no we are just moving forward entering into the good works God has prepared for us.... Recently the voice of Lord whispered inside me to plant Churches in the Philippines, They will be on the island of Mindanao. We have a goal of 15 church plants to be planted strategically to help create a Christian Line of resistance against the push of .......in these areas. We will plant what I call cluster churches or 3 at a time near one another to bless one another and share together in the resources that are available to them. I have just completed a church Planters manual to be implemented help for the success of these church Plants. Please join us in prayer for these brave young men and women who will answer the call and go.
If you want more information or would like to help us plant these churches please send me an email at Onelifemin@aol.com. You can also see our works and ministry at www.onelifemin.com. The first 5 churches will operate on a budget of $18,000 for first year of outside support. This is for living expenses for our team, rental of building, and outreach support. we will also be supplying small sound systems and computer for each work. Thank you in advance for your help and prayers. -----. Dave.
