Update Philippines Ministry.
I left word at the hotel desk for a wake up call as we needed to be on the road by 4:45 AM.. I thought I might sleep through my alarm so I had the wake up call for a back up…… I needed neither as I could not sleep soundly as I was aware of the Holy Spirit speaking to me concerning the people I would be meeting about11:30 that morning. The ride was exciting, long and grueling. The last 15 miles there was no road, one was just being built but not finished. We had to travel over the stones and ruts and mud next to the area that was being built. The climb up was very steep and the mammoth cargo truck we transferred into slowly made it to where we needed to go. …….Our driver was excellent and knew how to navigate all the really bad spots.
There was perhaps 150 people waiting for us, The church building was one of the nicest buildings in the area. It was finished concrete floor and windows and a sound system that worked. The inside was decorated nicely. … The place was packed with people and many outside around the building waiting to see and hear the foreigner. … You see I discovered I was the first foreigner to visit that area in 30 years. ….. I was greeted by the captain of the Buranguy of the area and was made welcome. He was the authority of the area and when I greeted him with hand shake and hug I could feel and see the 45 cal pistol under His shirt. His authority came to church with him, ha ha, I spoke on creation and the origin of all things. I explained how all was affected by the entrance of sin, which brought the power of death into the world. How Jesus Christ came to bring them Life, Eternal life, life more abundantly. We talked about How Jesus was God. The son of God given in Love for the forgiveness and restoration of man, and their need of Him,(John 3:16-17 ) We spoke of faith, and its operation in them. We spoke of the fullness of belief in Jesus and those who believed fully into Him had the right to become the sons of God; (John 1:12). We then asked who believed in this Jesus Christ and who would recognize their need of His forgiveness and repent of their sins and invite Him into their life and receive a new life. About 75 or so persons answered in faith as they pressed forward to confess and receive. I stepped aside and asked my interpreter to lead them in prayer. Sally Tolson whom I have known for 16 years lead them in Prayer as Sally is a woman of faith who I am indebted to as she is the true communicator to them as she interprets so they can fully understand.
I want to thank all of you who have been praying for me during this trip. This is just a sample of the past 12 days here which has been jammed packed with ministry of all kinds. I could not do this with out your prayers and financial aide. Thank you.
I was informed yesterday that our, Food for Life, feeding program and our Church Planting accounts are critically low. Our expansion has outgrown our income flow. Yes it is a beautiful problem we are facing. Our 30 Church plantings this year, and the increase of 6 new feeding programs with more hungry children is a beautiful stretching of faith. If you are not currently partnering with us in feeding hungry children, or planting churches in Muslim infiltrated areas, we ask you to please consider an offering to help us finish 2016 in the black and also the start of 2017 with a reserve of 3 months in our accounts. We will need to have end of the year giving to amount of $30,000 dollars to accomplish this. This does not include any special projects we will be asked to consider along the way.
Our special projects list is as following”
1. A rented facility for our offices in General Santos, large enough to house
a. Inner city church planting.
b. Enough space to house conferences of 3 to 500 persons.
c. Multipurpose in design so it can be rented for weddings and other functions when not being used by our own needs.
d. Supplied office space for other ministries such human trafficking.
We are currently looking at a space of 3300 sq ft which includes several large offices and then an open space for conference and training center. We need to train up Pastors, teachers, evangelist, and prophets. Men and women called out to serve the lord in these offices. (I will partner with others in this training of leaders.)
2. Motor Bikes for our Church planters.
a. Many of our Church planters are walking many, many miles over rough terrain, to visit the works they are overseeing and have begun. One Pastor travels all week among his 10 church’s that He oversees and trains for us. We have a goal of 5 motor bikes next year. Each will cost 1500.00. These are off road bikes able to handle the punishment of the mountain terrain.
Our greatest desire is the increase of feeding days for our feeding areas. Some areas we are only feeding once a week. To effectively make a difference in the health of a child we need to feed them one meal per day everyday. We need more as personnel to help us raise money for these children. We need volunteers who will reach out into churches, Sunday school programs, missions programs, and grants and charitable foundations. Please pray with us that the Lord will provide these volunteers to us.
If you have read all this you are truly gracious, thank you.
