Drought in Mindanao causing  major food shortage

4/5/2016

Drought is causing major shortage of food in Philippines

The temperatures are soaring in the high 90's everyday, and the winds are also blowing steadily, and the ground is parched and the crops are all dead. I know it is hard for us to understand in the land of plenty that we live in. But these people live from one harvest to the next on the little patch of ground they may farm, and when there is no harvest there is no food.
Ten  months of drought has now produced despair and sickness and  many of the elderly and children are suffering. No water also causes the shallow wells to dry up. so even drinking water is now dangerously low . Some of the hardest hit areas are where the Lord has instructed us to plant churches. These are areas where God has said we needed to go and support and share the good news of Gospel with them and help to work with in the communities to bring hope and love and peace.  Each of our churches have feeding programs for the children, but we are now needing to help feed the community or we will see the increase of death among the children's parents and siblings.
In order to meet this demand of love upon us we are beginning a Drought fund to raise $10,000 dollars for the purchase of rice and dried peas for the communities. This will allow us to purchase  around 12500 kilos of rice to distribute in 5 communities in desperate need.
We would also like to raise an additional $ 15000.00 dollars for the drilling of deep wells for each community.

Please pray about giving to these in such desperate need. If you feel you would like to help please use our donate button on our page and send to One Life Ministries and ear mark for," Drought rescue." These people need a miracle;  are you possibly the miracle they need. Thank You for your help and remember no gift is to small when given in love. Your $5.00 or even 1.00 or $1000.00 dollar gifts are all equally rewarded and received with thanksgiving. ......

February 16,2016  One Life Ministries
                Graduates of school
I wanted to take the time to share some important information to you who have graciously agreed to support or stand with me in the church planting in Mindanao.
It is hard to tell you all that is happening in our Church planting as there is so much. In our last newsletter we reported that we had planted 7 new churches on Mindanao island. We now have almost twice that as our teams went out to neighboring communities and began more churches. I am very pleased at their faith and love for the souls of men.
I will be traveling back to the Philippines on March 3 to meet with Church leaders and Pastors about the vision I believe was given to me by the Lord. I will explain to them that the Lord had given me three cities that would be the headquarters for our church plants. These cities would be the connection of support and supply and encouragement for the new churches that were being established as a first line of defense against the presence of Islam that is growing on the Island.
…. The first churches we have planted have come from General Santo City, from the school we developed,
“The Intensive Church Planters Institute.” We had fifty participants who where taught the concept of team church planting. From that group of 50 which came together in October of 2015 we now have our new church plants.  Each church was supplied with sound equipment and monies needed for the launch of their ministry, each with a clear vision to serve their community. Every team is supplied with a small stipend to free them to accomplish the mission the Lord gave them, and they were commissioned to. I want to say, thank you, to all of you who have committed to support these church planters and their callings. Thank you, seems so small, but your reward is in heaven waiting for you.  I also want you to know that salvations and baptisms are taken place regularly. Whole families are being touched and encouraged: single mothers, hungry children, and those who are weary from the life of severe poverty, all are being touched by the grace and compassion of our Lord through these church plantings.
It is our goal to have 30 to 50 church plantings by the end of 2016 In order to accomplish this I will need to return several times this year to hold our, Intensive Church Planters Institute in several cities. Our need for support of these extra schools and the release of new church plantings will necessitate the need of new support, or committed giving if we are to succeed.
Let me say this to our supporters, we (Janet and I) live on partial Social Security and gifts from some of our church relationships we have built over the years. Our income actually qualifies us to apply for financial help from the government as we meet the criteria for low income help. (we choose not to) Janet and I own no home and we pour our energies and our resources into the ministry God has given us. I tell you this so
YOU WILL KNOW, your money, when given goes to where you purposed. No fees are taken out or administration costs but all goes to the designated purpose you gave.
Janet and I love our Life style we have chosen to live. Our life is exciting and faith filled, as we experience the release of God to our lives. We are blessed to have all we need and knowing it is given to us in love.
God is good, always, this is not a cliché but a reality. Our prayer for you is that you also are experiencing His goodness, and are living for the purposes of His Kingdom.

Food for Life News.
When I look at all the different feeding sites and volunteers operating and helping us my heart is overwhelmed with the goodness of God, and of those who are made in His image. When I see the smile on a child’s face, as they eat their meal provided for them by the love of the workers and supporters of this ministry, my heart convicts me. I am convicted of the times I have complained about the long Airplane rides consisting of many hours, and the living with roaches and rats and other discomforts I experience each time I go. This conviction of my attitude brings me to the place of repentance for my selfishness and shallowness and leads me to the place of thanksgiving, that I am allowed to do this for our Lord. It is here in these moments, and being with the poorest of the earth, I feel the Holy, loving, caring, presence of the Lord Jesus. Thank You, to all of you who enable all of us through your caring and loving giving. ….. The children now number over 1500. The number varies from week to week as more come as the news gets out into the community that we are there. We are now looking at the possibility of beginning outreaches in Kenya, Africa, and also in Tanuku, India. Please pray with us as these new outreaches are an increase beyond our current budget. We need yet another miracle. But His grace is sufficient for what we need.

Our Travel –Kenya, Africa
I have been visiting the tribal people know as the Maasai .  I have been blessed by their zeal and passion for the Lord.  I believe the Lord is opening doors for us to embrace this people and help them in their walk with God. I have been teaching in several conferences among them and have been taken in as one of their own. They even gave me a Maasai name, Malyon, which means blessed of the Lord, or blessing of Lord.  This was a humbling endorsement of our ministry.
One of the areas I feel impressed to help, is the area of child abuse. There are young teen girls who have been sold for marriage, and abused have run from their abusers. They are then outcast as they have no place to go. Praise God for His servants! He has raised up an African couple by the name of Nelly and Samson. This couple is in their 70’s and have open their home to these girls. They brought them in and have taken care of them as their own children. The number currently they have received is 20. They have brought them in as their own children and cared for them. They have even built an addition onto their home to house these girls.
I met these young women one afternoon at the Home of Samson and Nelly; they were shy and you could see they were not sure if they wanted to expose themselves to a stranger who could not possibly understand their feelings of hurt and anger and shame. It was communicated without a word as it was in their faces and in their eyes; They tried to hide it, but it was clearly present. I watched as Samson came into the room and stood in the midst of their anxiety, you could see the power of fear braking off them as this man was their protector and one who showed them real love, God’s love. He was Father to them, and Nelly, Mother.
It is my desire to help these young women and Samson and Nelly. These girls deserve to have their dreams of education and making a way in this world become a reality for them. I have asked what it would take to sponsor one these young women, to include housing, food, clothing and education. I was told that it would be about $75.00 per month, the largest being the education. The schooling would be in a better or higher rated school similar to a private school. This ensures them an education which will prepare them for college and a future. Please consider supporting one of these girls, or perhaps your church could support one of these girls. Or your family may desire to adopt a child such as this who need our help. Pray and ask the Lord what is His will. This is all I can ask of anyone, PRAY and OBEY. There are thousands of stories like this, but we need to be connected to that which the Lord asks us to do.
One Life Ministries has planted a seed in the Maasai lands by helping a New church to be built in the outland or bush. This church has out grown the home or hut it has been meeting in as many warriors have come to Christ; Maasai men surrendering their lives to Christ.  Thank you Lord for releasing the power of the Holy spirit upon this village.
   India is on our heart
I  will be traveling back to India in July. My time there will be spent revisiting the churches we have been to formerly. Our desire is to encourage them and see what the Lord has done through them. The needs in this country are huge, and could quickly overcome you if you are need oriented and not lead by the Holy Spirit. We are processing what we are going to be involved in, and our future involvement and investment. We need much discernment as we are so heavily invested in other areas.
If you are one who feels a call for the evangelization of India we would like to hear from you. Or if you know of others who we might partner with, please suggest them to us. One life Ministries is small, we are not a denomination or even an Organization, but a team of about 6 persons and a few supporting churches doing all that we do.  We do all by prayer and revelation by the Holy Spirit. We listen to hear him tell us
, “this is what we need to do.”  He is our light in time of uncertainty. Our commitment is to patience and unity; another key is respect and honor for each other. We are able to cross denominational barriers and accomplish the will of God together. Please pray for us that we will remain faithful to these ideals and walk by faith. Thank You.
 We need your Help!
  1. Prayer support for daily supply and safety
  2. For you to share our ministry with others
  3. For more USA church exposure
  4. Prayer for our personal family
  5. Prayer for workers from spiritual attack
  6. Prayer for wisdom, timing, and patience
  7. Prayer for others to come and share in the burden of this ministry and for the development of long term continuance of this ministry. Those who will run with us expecting the passing of the mantle of leadership,
  8. Prayer for wisdom as we are CONSIDERING THE development of some Philippine small business ventures that will employ people and create a flow of money for missions.
I thank you for reading this as it sure is a lot to think about, and pray about. Thank you for your large hearts and large grace extended to us. Hope this letter was informative and a blessing to you as you can see where we are headed.

Thank You

I have called You

9/23/2015

There are some who feel they have out lived there usefulness with God. They seem to think that the Lord sets us aside because we have reached a certain age. That is plain foolishness. Moses was 80 before he began. The apostle John was still serving the Lord at His death at the age of 94.  No your age is not preventing you, but your attitude and passion or lack of may be.

In my own life I began my journey at the age of 21. I am now at the age of 65 closing in on 66 quickly. I do not feel to old but the opposite I believe that all I have done has only equipped me for what is next.. I want to encourage you to hear the Apostle paul as He speaks to His followers and friends, " Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me." Brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: forgetting those things in the past I press forward,; onward to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize  for which God  through Christ Jesus is calling us" Phil.3;12-13.

To old, no we are just moving forward entering into the good works God has prepared for us....  Recently the voice of Lord whispered inside me to plant Churches in the Philippines, They will be on the island of Mindanao. We have a goal of 15 church plants to be planted strategically to help create a Christian Line of resistance against the push of .......in these areas. We will plant what I call cluster churches or 3 at a time near one another to bless one another and share together in the resources that are available to them. I have just completed a church Planters manual to be implemented help for the success of these church Plants.  Please join us in prayer for these brave young men and women who will answer the call and go.

If you want more information or would like to help us plant these churches please send me an email at Onelifemin@aol.com. You can also see our works and ministry at www.onelifemin.com. The first 5 churches will operate on a budget of $18,000 for first year of outside support. This is for living expenses for our team, rental of building, and outreach support. we will also be supplying small sound systems and computer for each work. Thank you in advance for your help and prayers. -----. Dave.

Living in the Fear of the Lord

6/26/2015

The Scripture indicates that the fear of the Lord is needed in those who exercise authority over others. “The God of Israel said . . . ‘He who rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God.’’(2 Sam.23:3)

There are two requirements for spiritual leadership. The first is the love of the Lord and the second is the fear of God. When Jesus called Peter to shepherd His sheep He asked, “Do you love me?” (See John 21:15–19.) And He asked it three times! Then He said, “If you love me, feed my sheep.” The love of the Lord and of His people is necessary. However, if you try to minister only out of love for people, you will eventually be called to deal with a person who is so trying that your love will not last. Only love for the Lord Himself will keep you faithful in such a case.

Also, if your only motive for ministry is love for people, you will eventually be tempted to do what the people want you to do, and not what God wants you to do. At this point we separate the shepherd from the hireling. The hireling gives the people what they ask for; but the shepherd gives them what God says to give them. It is only the fear of the Lord that will enable you to do that!

Let us look at the fear of the Lord in the life and ministry of Jesus. Isaiah 11:1–2 says of Jesus, “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.” The culminating aspect of the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the fear of the Lord. It rested upon Jesus, the only begotten of the Father. If there is one thing about Jesus that is clear, it is that He walked in the fear of God. He said of His Father, “I always do those things that please Him.”(John8:29) “I can of myself do nothing.”(John5:30) “The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do.”(John5:19)

Isaiah 11:3 continues: And the Spirit of the Lord “shall make him [Jesus] of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD” (KJV). The Holy Spirit coming upon Jesus gave Him a special sensitivity to the will and the ways of the Lord. If there is one thing we need in the church today, it is this sensitivity to God’s will and God’s ways.

Hebrews 5:7 speaks of Jesus: Who, in the days of his flesh [His earthly sojourning], when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear. . . .

God heard the prayers of Jesus because they were prayers born of the fear of God. What was the great evidence that Jesus had this fear of the Father? I believe this passage refers primarily to Gethsemane. What one thing that Jesus said there revealed the fear of the Lord? “Not My will, but yours, be done.”(Luke22:42) When you pray that way, you are heard!

We also find that the fear of the Lord was present in the early church.
Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified [built up]. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied. (Acts 9:31)

They were experiencing what Psalm 2:11 expresses: “Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.” Do you see the combination? Rejoice, but do so with reverent fear of God. Never separate the two, because if you do, you become unbalanced. When we balance the rejoicing with the trembling—the fear of the Lord with the comfort of the Holy Spirit—then the church is built up.

First Peter tells us why we should fear the Lord. And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ.(1Peter1:17-18) These words are not addressed to unbelievers, but to Christians—those who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ. Why are we (Christians) to pass the time of our sojourning here in fear? Because of the price of our redemption: It cost God the blood of His Son to redeem us. God gave His Son that we might be redeemed out of our foolishness, our ignorance, our disobedience, our rebellion and our pride.

I believe that God the Holy Spirit plants in our hearts the fear of the Lord. I do not believe that we have it until the Holy Spirit teaches it to us. But when we respond, by the Holy Spirit, in the fear of the Lord, then we begin to enjoy the favor of the Lord.

Following are three statements about the favor of the Lord. “For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor you will surround him as with a shield.”16 The favor of the Lord is like a shield that surrounds and protects you on every side. You are absolutely safe under the favor of the Lord.

The favor of the Lord, in a certain sense, is typified by the cloud of God’s presence. Proverbs says, “In the light of the king’s face is life; and his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.”(Prov.16:15) So, when you have the favor of God on you, you are walking under the cloud of the latter rain.

Proverbs further tells us: “The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion; but his favor is like dew upon the grass.”(Prov19:12) So, God’s favor is like a cloud of the latter rain, and it is also like dew on the grass. You never need to be spiritually dry when you are walking under God’s favor!

If you walk in the favor of the Lord, you take the cloud and the dew with you wherever you go. You precipitate the blessing upon the people of God. What could be a greater privilege than that?

The humble child and servant of God who walks in the fear of the Lord under the cloud of God’s favor is a “rain-bringer.” He automatically blesses everybody he comes in contact with. There is a fragrance about him, a presence within him—something overshadowing him that goes everywhere he goes.

God is still searching throughout the earth to find those whose hearts are perfect toward Him—those who have made Him their God—those who have learned the fear of the Lord. When He finds such a person He will show Himself strong on his behalf, manifesting divine favor in and through that person’s life. Let us choose to be such people.

Lord I choose to be such a person as this. One who’s love is centered in Holy Fear and admiration of your perfect Holiness which contains your perfect love for me.  I treasure your presence, and I treasure your favor that you bestow on me. Through your presence I can move about safely and confidently, and through your favor I can bless all those you place around me.  Thank You Lord: Please help me to guard my heart above all else that I am not drinking from the fountains that cannot satisfy. Amen

Much of this teaching was taught by Derrick Prince who was a great influence to many in the faith.

The Lord has truly been good to us as our travels have taken us to the continent of Africa and the country of India

We bid you greetings to our friends and supporters. The picture above is three Masai women and their children. These are a proud people a good people who live in the country of Kenya and Tanzania. My time spent with them was a glorious time of refreshing and renewal for both them and myself The Lord showed up mightily and refreshed the soul of us all. The meetings took place in a village called Bessell, Kenya about 30 miles from the border of Tanzania. These were meetings for the pastors and leaders to equip and encourage them in their ministry. I was invited by Manasseh P Mankuleiyo the founder and Father of the ministry, Faith Evangelical Free Church. Upon my arrival until I left I was treated with royal friendship and blessings. I will never forget the joyful spirits and the hunger that each participant had for his Lord and King Jesus Christ. The Father's blessing was throughout the ministry time and many received the message of his love acceptance and calling upon their lives.

The prophetic word was released to many as God gave them words concerning their lives and future. Also that the rain would come upon their land and it would be refreshed and the cattle would be revived. Upon my leaving that day the rains came and continued and the land was refreshed and the cattle revived, and the word of the Lord was fulfilled. Faith Evangelical Free Church of Kenya is a strong church, a vibrant church and I was blessed to be among them. I'm expecting great things for them and I'm expecting to see a great harvest among the Massai people and many will come into the knowledge and saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray with me for this people who are warriors in heart, who still fight off the lions with spear and club as they guard their cattle. Pray for that warrior spirit to arise now in their spiritual man to fight off the lion called Satan who comes to only bring harm and destruction. Pray for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon their church and villages in power and glory.

The gates of hell shall not prevail against the church of

Jesus Christ. Matt.16:18

Amen.

Temples and false gods

The Heading above is one which you will bring home with you if you travel to India. Wherever you travel you will discover temples built for the worship of false gods. There's much more to be seen of course, the beauty in the country is all around you but so is the poverty and the corruption, and the presence of darkness because of the demonic worship. Of course this worship is done mostly because of deception and I thank God for the presence of the church in India who are standing and fighting the good fight of faith in the midst of such great opposition. While in India the Lord was gracious to us as he broke out in the demonstration of his power. In five days we saw as many as 50 healings take place in various churches and even in the streets as we ministered too many. We saw such things as fevers broken instantly, lumps disappear, arms legs and wrist bones, and backs all healed from the pain and suffering.

The word of the Lord was strong, yet encouraging and the pastors received it with faith, humility and joy. I was encouraged by the men that I traveled with these young men especially the leader who's name was Prakesh Daniel, were young warriors for the Lord full of the spirit of faith and evangelism and God used them to heal and to deliver those he would minister to. The favor of the Lord was obviously upon Prakesh's life and upon the group of young men that surrounded him to aid him and facilitate him and his ministry.

These young men were also hungry for wisdom, hungry for someone to help them to understand and to lead them to freedom. The freedom they desired was the freedom to move in the liberty of the Holy Spirit not to be held back but to go forward with their giftings being offered to God and used by God for the glory of his name. It was exciting to listen to them, to listen to their dreams and aspirations, these are men, young men of faith. It is after being with these men I came home with fresh vision and hope for India, I will return to India February 3 as I will be going to a new region to preach the gospel in the streets in open air meetings and also to encourage the brethren who are there doing the work of the kingdom.

If we were to win 1 million new souls for the kingdom of God this would be less than 1% of the total population of India. This shows us how great the need for workers to go and encourage and raise up pastors, prophets, teachers and Evangelist in the land. I believe this is the season open to India. During this season we will see a great revival released to this nation, we will also see extraordinary demonstrations of the power of the kingdom of God and literally millions will come into fellowship with Jesus Christ as Lord of their life. Pray for India and the church in India. The needs are great in fact overwhelming, yet there is nothing to difficult for our God. Jeremiah 32:27 / Genesis 18:14

Please pray about supporting this ministry with your finances and prayer. Because of your generous giving we have opened two new feeding centers as of January 1. One in General Santos, Philippines and another in Cambodia. The travel has increased as many want us to come but we can only go as we have money to do so. In saying that I also want to declare to you how great and good our Lord is. This has been truly an exciting season as we have seen hundreds of healing and salvations world wide. We have been able to encourage several thousand pastors and leaders on 5 continents. Thank you Father for your goodness! Amen. For your convenience you can donate to the ministry through the donate button on this blog. Please designate how you want your offering used.

Run your race and run to win. You are not running alone.

Finishing the year

12/22/2014

Picture
New and Old
The year has been full and once again we are reflecting and wondering where the time has gone. 2014 was a year of divergence which the Lord used to mold us and open to us new doors of opportunity. Doors to greater vision, and the leading out by the voice of the Holy Spirit into new ventures, and also the letting go of those things which were finished
. Stepping into new ventures and letting go works in us the strengthening of our faith. This strengthening  enables us to launch out into the deep.  It is in the deep that we find ourselves alone in the boat with Jesus as He is instructing us to let down our nets. Our nets are those things we are familiar with. It is as we surrender to His word, He transforms, that which we are familiar with into the Supernatural instruments of the kingdom of God. Here alone with Him in the deep we see with our own eyes the greatness of our God and king. Our understanding and revelation are infused with the Glory of who we are with, and from here we are summoned by His presence to follow Him, and be transformed into one of those who Know Him, and called to do great and extraordinary accomplishments. It is these accomplishments  that testify of the one who has come to save the lost and to heal the broken hearted and proclaim His love and grace which is available for all.
It is with is with this understanding we have traversed the globe in His name. We have believed for resources that were well beyond are own capabilities and have used these resources to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom and to minister to the needs of hungry children and struggling families. Watching the Lord provide and work through ordinary persons such as ourselves has been the joy of our life. This year alone we have had the privilege of feeding on the average of 350 children every week. We have traveled to approximately 150,000 miles through out the nations to bring light into darkness and the release of the word o God into the lives of many who have never heard.
2015, looks much the same as we will begin on January 1 by traveling to Chennai, India to meet with 150 pastors to equip them and encourage them. I am believing for a great revival to break out in India this year. If one million souls would come to Christ in India it would only be a little less then one percent of the population. The population of India is approaching 1.4billion people. Most of these are not Christian and need to hear the Gospel of Christ. Please pray for India and the Church in India to have freedom to preach and teach and not be hindered and persecuted.  We will return to India in February traveling to North east India in several states.  From there we travel to the Philippines in March. While there we will work with Tribal pastors and help equip them for the work of the Kingdom.
In January we will open two New feeding sights. One will be in General Santos, Mindanao Island, Philippines, and one in Cambodia. These sights will begin with feeding about 150 children initially.
I want to thank all who support us and the works we are involved with. It is you alone as you yield to the leading of the Holy spirit that allows us to go and do. Janet and I are humbled at your generosity. Please pray with us that 2015 will bring new break through for many through out the earth. That millions of souls will be added to the kingdom and we can continue to extension of His love to the hurting.

Thank You-- Merry Christmas to you and your family
Dave and Janet Roach
